On June 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM CST, Dr. Nora Bilodeaux, President of DFW Wimbum, met with the Honorable Rick Stopfer, Mayor of the City of Irving, to officially inform the City about the upcoming WICUDA-USA Convention scheduled for July 10–13, 2025.
During the meeting, Dr. Bilodeaux highlighted key values of the Mbum culture—peacefulness, respect for hierarchy and leadership, community service, and the preservation of family dignity. In accordance with tradition, informing and inviting the city’s leadership to the convention is a cultural imperative.
Mayor Stopfer emphasized the City of Irving’s strong commitment to cultural diversity and its ongoing support for events that celebrate heritage and unity.
The WICUDA-USA community looks forward to welcoming Mayor Stopfer to the convention, subject to his availability.
